Nothing like starting your day with a little heart-pounding terror. My alarm clock sounds like the master alarm on the NASA space shuttle. I get to wake up every morning thinking “we’re all gonna die!!!”

I would have thought an alarm that sounded like a can opener would have both woken up the cat and filled with anticipation.
True! My original draft of this cartoon had a can opener sound instead, but I changed it because human alarm clocks always seem to use noises that are as irritating as possible 🙂
Thanks for this comic, it made my husband remember how much he hates being startled awake in the morning and I was able to get him a new, softer alarm. =)
