Today I’m chatting about Savage Chickens with the guys at Where Monsters Dwell, an awesome radio show about comics and other good pop culture stuff. It’s at 8 PM EST, or 5 PM here on the west coast – here are the details.
And if you’ve ever wanted to ask me about something, you can participate by giving the WMD guys a shout, or by sending them questions or comments via Facebook or Twitter.
Update: The recording of the interview is now available on Where Monsters Dwell!
This weekend, I’m in the Hot One Inch Action show at the Hot Art Wet City gallery here in Vancouver. It’s a special one-night-only show on Saturday, September 27, 7 PM – 11 PM, featuring art on one-inch buttons.
When you arrive, you can buy a bag of random buttons for $5, and then the haggling begins as you try to trade for the buttons you really really want. Featuring fifty local artists and limited-edition buttons that you won’t see anywhere else, including one designed by yours truly.
Hope to see you there! Here are the details, and here’s the event on Facebook.
Hmmm I think it’s time for another social media update, because I forgot to tell you that I’ve started posting the daily comics on Pinterest so you can now follow me there.
And I also started a new tumblr for posting other people’s stuff that I like – check it out.
And you can still find me on:
– Instagram – mostly behind-the-scenes sketches and cat photos
– Twitter – random thoughts, retweets, links to the comics
– Tumblr – my original Tumblr where I post my comics and other Savage Chickens stuff
– GoComics – classic strips every weekday (and they have a cool app)
– Facebook – where I swing by and say hello now and then.
– Flickr – more photos
– Google+ – mostly links to comics
I wrote a guest post over on the GoComics blog today, as part of their “Meet Your Creator” series. Go check it out!
I talk about how a became a cartoonist, my process, and what I’ve learned from years of chickening. And you can see a picture of me sitting here at my messy desk (see if you can spot: a leprechaun, K-9, and the Millennium Falcon). If you have any follow-up questions, throw them into the comments or feel free to email me!
