Halloween Contest 2011 Grand Prize Happy Halloween! I received over 1200 entries to this year’s Halloween contest, and they were an impressive collection of crazy ideas. Some of the common themes: Occupy Wall Street, parking, iPhones, concerts, The Walking Dead, and windshield-cleaning. As you can imagine, it was pretty difficult to choose the winners!

And the winners are…

The Grand Prize (a zombified edition of my book, a mug, and a set of buttons):

“Do your worst. It’s a rental.” – by Chuck

The Runner-up Prizes (a signed copy of my book):

“Hey, can you direct us to the Mensa Conference…?” – by Elissa

“So I take a right at “brains” and then a left at “brains” and I should be there?” – by Joe

Congratulations to the winners! I’ll be in touch to get your address information. And thanks to everybody who participated! This was the best contest yet – lots of amazing creativity out there!

Thanks to everybody who participated and thanks for all of the great ideas for my next round of button designs. And you can still buy buttons directly from me at the Vancouver Comic Con this Sunday.

For those who asked about me about buying those mini-buttons through the site, I’m thinking about that and I’ll keep you posted.

ButtonsI’m giving away two sets of these three buttons at the end of the day!

To be eligible, you can either:

1. Sign up to receive the chickens by email; or

2. Leave a comment here letting me know what other character you’d like to see on a button.

I’ll announce the winners before I post tomorrow’s cartoon, and just so you know, I’ll happily ship the buttons anywhere worldwide.

I’ll also be selling these buttons at the Vancouver Comic Con this Sunday (and I’ll have mugs and books for sale too). Stop by and say hello – here are the details: Vancouver Comic Con

The buttons were made by amazing local button shop Six Cent Press. And the chicken one is their Button of the Month!
